English rocks!

I am first writing a short text introducing myself and then I will start posting things which I consider can be of your interst and joy.

I have been a teacher for more than 14 years, most of them here at Instituto Santuario. I was first a spanish teacher here, but after a couple of years, I became one of the English teachers . English is my passion and hobby more than just  the subject I teach.

I was born in Tumaco, although I grew up in Pasto, I love those places equally. When I arrived in Santuario, I did not have a good opinion of it, but then I met my wife and got a family as well as friends and neighbors,  my opinion about Santuario changed a lot. Nowadays it  is very positive, mostly because of its people and the kind of living I have.

Instituto Santuario has always been more than my workplace, something like my home, I have learnt to love it. Among others because of the kind of students we teachers have had. It is really great to see how some of them have become doctors, nurses, managers, business people, but most of all good citizens, some of those who were very noisy and naughty, now say hello to us when they meet us anywhere in a manner that it is really rewarding to see the quality of people they have become.

It is a very good idea to start a place like this for our school because we can share many interesting things and can learn a lot from each other, students, teachers and parents.

I will be posting some of what I say...

This first video was prepared to show how great and useful  was to have Hugh Fitzpatrick in our school.  .djd

The following are some examples of our students dramatising real life situations.  They are really great! Aren't they?
